Library

What's New...

Your Library
The library at Horizon Middle School is a resource for you! It is a place where you can come to find resources for assignments on which you are working, use a Chromebook if you need one, work in small groups and hang out during the second half of your lunch break.

Lunchtime in the Library
The library is open to you during the second half of your lunch break, after you are done eating! No food or drinks in the library, please. There is always a jigsaw puzzle that could use your expertise, a rotating choice of games, Chromebooks, comfy chairs and a kind librarian to help you.

We want to help
Mr. Morrow and all the library assistants want to help you find the perfect book to read or the best resource for your assignment.

40 Book Challenge
Each year all students are invited to join the 40 Book Challenge. It is an exciting opportunity we have embraced to help HMS create a culture of reading for all students and adults. Please ask your Hawk about their reading challenge!

Makerspace in the Library
A Makerspace is any defined area where people can make things using their hands. Sometimes we use technology-like our smartphone guided paper airplane-other times we are folding origami, building legos or creating edible crafts! Encourage your student to visit our Hawk's Nest Makerspace in the Library!
